FAQ
Find quick answers to common questions about plugin!
Is Translera free?
Yes. The plugin is free to install. Google’s Website Translator runs in the browser with no API key. A Google Cloud key is optional. Translera Pro is a paid add-on for engines, SEO controls, studio, memory, analytics, and geolocation.
Do I need an API key?
No, for the free browser translator. Yes, if you want Google Cloud, DeepL, OpenAI, Claude, Azure, or a secured LibreTranslate server. Pro engines always use your key.
Which URL is better for SEO?
Subdirectory URLs such as example.com/es/page/ give each language a clean, crawlable address. Query URLs such as ?lang=es are available when you need them.
Does it work with Elementor and Gutenberg?
es. Both ship a Translera Language Switcher, on by default, and you can turn either integration off in settings.
